Underreported Wrapped
The stomach bug & such
Happy Friday, friends!
LIFE UPDATE:
I’ve been M.I.A. this week because (as many of you saw on YouTube & Instagram) I got a 24-hour stomach bug that’s still got me in recovery mode🤒 It’s hard to say it wasn’t a good week though, because… my best friend got ENGAGED in Hawaii over the weekend!💍🌺
I cried arguably more over the engagement than I did from the stomach flu… That may be embarrassing, but I was so overwhelmed with joy watching my bestie soak in this moment. I mean c’mon, they’re beautiful people, how could you not tear up?!
To cap off the week, I got a much-needed haircut. Which is totally just as good as getting engaged in Hawaii, right?😉

UNDERREPORTED RADAR:
Stories I’ve been following this week include India’s first transgender medical clinic shutting down operations after Trump cut USAID funding. Mitr Clinic offered HIV treatment and support services to transgender people in India. Trump signed an executive order pausing all foreign aid for 90 days, meaning these clinics had to shut down.
All transgender people have access to private and public healthcare systems. Their main complaint is that the USAID-funded hospitals were cheaper…
Next, I’ve been covering two wild stories of 19-year-olds suing their school districts after they graduated high school unable to read. Well, allegedly!
19-year-old Alyesha Ortiz testified that the education system pushed her through school despite not being able to read or write. According to her lawsuit, she started having problems with letters, sounds, and number recognition in first grade, and those issues were allegedly not addressed until she was 17.
Another student, William, graduated high school in 2024 from Clarksville, TN, with a 3.4 GPA and allegedly cannot spell his own name. He’s allegedly illiterate and is suing the Tennessee school district for denying him a “free appropriate public education.”
THIS is another reason why I advocate for the dismantling of the Education Department!
Finally, a little girl named Jocelyn Rojo Carranza (11) took her life after being bullied over her immigration status. Jocelyn’s school launched an investigation and confirmed that a student on Jocelyn’s bus made comments about ICE and deportations to a group of Hispanic students, including Jocelyn. This is what the family said about this tragedy — that Jocelyn took her life over this bullying.
It was also uncovered that Jocelyn claimed she was being abused and assaulted by a family member. Jocelyn told many of her peers, this was reported to Child Protective Services, and the claims are still being investigated. Jocelyn’s mother denies that any assault took place.
This seems like a cover-up to me. Without a doubt.

AMERICA’S GOODEST BOY:
Sweet Harper loved that his mama was sick. He got mid-day cuddles and belly rubs. Harper also does the weirdest thing when he watches TV (yes, he watches TV…) and sits with his booty on the couch, his paws on the ground, and his head on the coffee table. He’s been doing it since he was a puppy, but I got a picture of it for your enjoyment!
Chat next week! xx, Chrissy
