Underreported Wrapped
Happy Friday, friends!
LIFE UPDATES:
Have y’all seen the “Starter Pack” trend on social media? ICYMI: People ask ChatGPT to create an image of themselves as a Mattel action figure with props. I tried it out and Chat was SPOT ON with its depiction of me. It pulled my green sweater from my online social pictures, put a podcasting microphone on there, and even Harper is in it. If you’ve done one of these, let me know in the comments what yours looks like!
UNDERREPORTED RADAR
Stories flying under the radar this week include:
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) was photographed flying first-class to a Bernie Sanders event titled “Fighting Oligarchy.” It’s been reported that a first class JetBlue seat on that route costs approximately $1,100.
The Middle Eastern Children’s Alliance (MECA), a California nonprofit that designs K-12 curriculum material, reportedly has fiscal ties to a US-designated foreign terrorist organization. MECA reportedly has ties to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine which has sent more than $31 million in aid to Palestinian territory, Iraq, and Lebanon since 1988. The nonprofit expressed its support for what happened in Israel on Oct. 7, 2023. The research group that uncovered these ties between MECA and the Palestinian liberation organization is advocating that the IRS investigate and revoke MECA’s status as a nonprofit because it’s against the IRS code for a nonprofit to engage in criminal or terroristic acts.
Tulsi Gabbard is threatening to sue CNN for a report it’s been working on accusing her of voter fraud. The CNN story allegedly claims that Gabbard improperly voted in the 2024 election in Hawaii. In 2024, Gabbard purchased a house in Texas and declared a “homestead exemption” at that property — so she doesn’t have to pay property taxes on that house, but more importantly her address is not public. According to Olivia Coleman, who is the press secretary for Gabbard, Tulsi has always maintained some sort of state-side mainland residence but remains a Hawaiian residence and taxpayer in Hawaii.
Colorado Democrats are attempting to pass a bill that could punish parents who call their gender-confused kids by their birth name. The bill claims that in custody disagreements over a child, courts must take into account whether a parent uses the child’s real name or the child’s preferred name that aligns with their gender identity.
CNN held a town hall with Sen. Bernie Sanders and anchor Anderson Cooper committed a far-left sin by using the pronouns “she” for a civil rights activist named Grace. Grace used “they/them” pronouns and asked Sen. Sanders why he believes young men are leaving the Democratic Party.

AMERICA’S GOODEST BOY:
At my last apartment, Harper used to sleep behind my desk and waltz on and off camera as he pleased. For whatever reason, he had abandoned the practice in our new place until a windstorm ripped through town last night… Suddenly he’s found his new favorite place again! Right beside Mom💖
